• The screen half is attached to the keyboard half permanently. You can rotate the screen half all the way over to the underside of the keyboard to use as a tablet. Cannot separate the screen half from the keyboard half.

• Great question! When the computer screen is flipped over and put into "touchscreen tablet" mode, it disables the keyboard so you don't accidentally hit the keys. Everything is still attached.
