Thank you for reaching out. This model has an aluminum body so it should not break. It also has a very durable screen. I am sure that dropping it hard enough would cause damage but a tumble from a table to your floor should not hurt it. So it you drop it, your data won't become corrupted. When you drop a computer with a HDD the pins and moving parts can become off balance and you end up losing saved information on it or just completely jacking up the HDD. This laptop is more durable because of the SSD but the shell is just like any other laptop.
