Basically it means that a customer opened the item and returned it for whatever reason... or it was a display item. It’s basically like new, has all accessories, instructions, and whatever else came with it... but it was opened and possibly lightly used, so they have to advise the customer of such. I’ve bought several open box items over the years and can only remember having an issue with one.
