Is there particular model is exclusive to Best Buy. These machines are considered non-upgradeable and it would be recommended that any upgrades be done by a certified expert. If you are curious about upgrading this machine, you can contact HP Support or Geek Squad. If Geek Squad does the upgrades, it does not void the warranty of the machine, but HP will not cover the new parts.

Short answer, yes. On the HP site customization and configuration page, you can choose 32 GB of ram for an additional $740. I’ve spent many hours researching this laptop, as well as speaking to HP, and all they can tell me is “it seems like a lot of money, but that’s the price”. Interestingly, the HP site does not have an option for the 32 GB Optane like what is offered by Best Buy.
