• The difference is the pen - this comes with a stylus and the screen will take detailed input from the stylus (I.e., it's pressure sensitive; you can draw with it). My understanding is that if you tried to use a stylus with the other model you could write with it (more accurate than your finger) but couldn't do anything detailed.

• Both units have similar specs, but the more expensive one has better audio, better microphones and a better camera that is compatible with Windows Hello!. The more expensive model has more ports, and one of the ports is thunderbolt compatible. The cheaper of the two has a display port out which the more expensive one does not. I own the 023dx, and i would recommend that over the discontinued model.
