• As long as your chromebook as a USB port to attach the receiver, it should work fine.

• Yes, b/c most apps have web compatibility with Chrome OS. So Drive, Google Photos, Gmail, Play Music, Movies, Books, Newsstand, etc. can be viewed on a Chromebook.
