• Not sure on the surface 2, but I have used it on my Surface pro 3 and it works fine.

• Not sure about the Surface 2, but it works fine with my Surface RT which is one model older than the Surface 2. I assume it would probably work with the 2 as well.

• I have used it on other tablets and it works fine, have not tried the surface 2 tablet. You may need a micro usb adapter but they are cheap on ebay.

• If the Surface 2 tablet has a standard USB port this mouse will work just fine if the OS is a full version of Windows. I don't know if it will work with Windows RT as I don't have an RT tablet to verify operation.
