Does it automatically turn off after a few minutes? null

No Sir Luigi. It runs until you shut it off. Good battery but I worry about when the battery goes bad, and whether you can buy a replacement battery or not. Might have to buy another device. :(

No, you have to turn it off with the switch at the bottom of the massager.
