Hi, my experience was that the unit always turns off when you connect the audio jack, though was not able to test what happens if not charged at all, but I think should not be a problem. The problem, in my case, was that the 3.5mm input was too wide and input jacks didn't tight and then it don't seems to be working. So the trick is to find an audio cable with a base in the male jack so this base helps the jack to keep it connected and then you will hear the audio. Hope it helps...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Using an aux cord it can be used but if you plan to use the mic on a phone or Xbox the six cord must have a mic on it it since the mic won’t work without being fully connected.
