“When I wirelessly charge my iPhone X it randomly stops charging and the charging icon starts blinking fast. Is this possibly a defective unit? It charges fine for the fist maybe 50%-70% then starts blinking without even moving the device.”

• I have seen this on my unit. No, the fast blinking indicates a problem with charging. I have repositioned my phone and it has charged fine.

• I have had that happen as well. Doesn’t happen often but it does happen. I lift the phone and reposition it on the unit which seems to work.
