• I would repair the wire using solder to reconnect the broken wire or remove the bad spot and solder the wire together using heat shrink Tubing to replace the insulation.

• Speaker wire can always be replaced. It is more of an issue of the skill/knowledge of the person doing the repairs.

• In this type of speakers, access to the inside of the box is usually gained by removing the woofer.
