“In the photos shown, it appears that the lighting is not sufficient. Stuff on the upper shelves blocks lighting of the lower shelves. Does anyone find this to be a problem?”

We have two of them. We use one as a freezer and one as a refrigerator in our garage. Even with the garage lights out and only using the internal lights - which are located in the front - we have no problems seeing the lower shelves as well as things in the back of the units. It's never been an issue for us and to be honest, never would've thought about it until I saw this question. Hope this helps!
