“will this work on a Lenovo desktop computer (ideapad 330)”

• It depends on the Lenovo. It did not have the connection for my work laptop, it did for my Fiancé's, Both Lenovos but different styles. Also, it fit his laptop but did not have a strong enough charge, not even to maintain the charge that was left.
