never mind I spoke too soon, the exchange one is now doing the same thing, but not as frequent and come to think of it I can consider it a whining noise like others was saying, I still can hear it from 2 rooms away, it's actually bugging me cause I never heard this in a fridge before, I'm afraid it's not going to last me years to come. i might bring it back and get a different brand.

Please try again later.your right it wasn't supposed to make that noise, it happened as soon as I plugged it in for the first time, it made that drilling noise for a good hour, then tapered off to a few times throughout the next day, I was told by some it was normal, but I did exchange it cause I had a gut feeling it wasn't right, I exchanged for the same model and so far I am not experiencing that noise, so fingers cross it don't start.
