“I have tried several times to pair the subwoofer with the sound bar and they will not pair. I have unplugged then replugged the devices and even connected the subwoofer first, hit pair, and then turned the soundbar on and still nothing.”

I had the same issue... turn every electronic device you have off. I put the bar onthe counter in my kitchen plugged in not near the tv and then paired it... then had to rehook everything up with my tv... only way I could get it to pair
