• I imagine that depends on the capabilities of your remote. I am unaware of any manufacturer codes for this sound bar (would be nice if such a thing existed). If your remote has a learning mode you should be able to point the sound bar remote at it binding the "learned" signal to a button.

• I do not believe it can learn your remote. I leave it on turned up all the way and control the volume with the TV remote. It is plugged into the headphone jack so all sound comes from the sound bar.
