• Yes, it has a nice theater sound. The subwoofer makes the difference.

• It is not like a $500 surround sound system, but the subwoofer can get very loud watching a movie and it will be louder and have more bass than your TV can ever produce. There is also 'cinema' setting that makes the stereo separation even better.
