• If there is a buildup of frost in and around the freezer compartment this will melt; there is a drain in the bottom of the unit. A 9x13 cake pan can be placed in ther unit, after removing the shelves, to catch melt water. Rags and newpaper can soak up any spillage under the unit during defrost process.

• The freeze unit has a drip tray but it's not very deep. About half and inch, but it covers the entire freeze unit.
