You can connect a subwoofer to the speaker connector on this receiver, only if the subwoofer has high level inputs & outputs (speaker level input & output connectors). Connect the speaker level output connectors from the subwoofer to speaker connectors "A" on the receiver and connect your regular speakers to speaker connectors "B" on the receiver or to the speaker level input connectors on the subwoofer. Be sure to enable both A + B speaker connectors on the receiver. Speaker impedance should not be any lower than 8 Ohms. The Polk PSW 108 is is a perfect example for this type of setup.

For the addition of a Subwoofer you would need a receiver that is 2.1; Left, Right and Subwoofer. Charles V. - Insignia Support https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us
