Yes. I still watch local channels with a digital box and an antenna. There are a lot of free channels also

It sets up itself and displays options. You then subscribe to any service that you want. The unit was bought as a monitor for home security and worked perfectly. Of note a model without fire had issues with input devices. For the extra $10 price this unit has many advantages.
