Yes, you can hook up your Cable Box into one of the HDMI inputs on the TV.

This TV has a standard tuner that will tune in ATSC/NTSC and QAM signals via Coax. It does not have a cable card to decrypt encrypted content. Some cable companies have apps that will tune in channels via the internet via Fire Stick. Dish has an app. Spectrum does not currently have an app for FireTV. You could connect a cable box or Roku if you have Spectrum. Sorry if this is confusing.

Yes TV cable ready , also works on over air channels.

according to the manual this tv can be set up as any basic tv , and connect to your cable provider
