I am assuming that you are using the firetv aspect of the TV and not some other HDMI input. To turn on/off closed captioning: From the home screen in the firetv menu, go to the gear icon and select it. Look for an accessibility icon and select it. You will see an option for closed caption and can turn it off. That being said there are also sometimes closed captioning options inside of each app (Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, etc.) that can be used via the firetv. You would need to check that setting inside of each app if it is still an issue.

From there, navigate to the "Settings" menu using your remote. Once in the Settings menu, select "Accessibility" and then choose "Closed Captioning." Finally, turn off the closed captioning option. This should disable the closed captions on your TV. If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask! Patricia | Insignia Support
