“I upgraded my Verizon FIOS and got a cable box for an older non HD TV set. The HD channels (600 and above) don't display the picture. Same problem when I connected the Insignia. Do I need a different cable box?”

I wish I could help you. I have two cables attached to the TV. One cable is the built in power cord and the other is an HDMI from TV to Security System and that's all. Sorry I'm not that smart.
