No its not unfortunately you will have to buy a fire stick of some sort to get smart functions.

Oh, and my previous Insignia 24" stopped working a few months after the warranty, and though I had (and still have) a 5-year Geek Squad contract, I had to (a) bring the nonworking TV into the STORE - by appointment (hard to schedule) and (b) because no repairs are done in the South Bay Boston store, let them send it to 'the shop' in New Jersey or Kentucky - with about a 6-week processing time, after which I would pick up the repaired TV in that store (where I had left it). Thus, I bought this TV (another TV of the same kind). Uhh... Was it smart to buy this TV? I have second thoughts. But not, it's not the Fire TV. It receives stations through my high-rise buildi9ng's Antenna. Now, just last weekend we bought another two (2) smart TVs from Best Buy (through the home networking specialist who really oversold us on stuff - and yet we were happy with wall-mounting of 3 TVs (2 new ones and one older TV), wall antenna, Apple+ and GooglePlay in the TVs and connection with Apple, Google, Amazon Prime, etc. THAT is where you want to go, I would urge: free consultation with the home networking specialist. Not IMO **THAT** is 'smart'!
