A:AnswerHi - My daughter had the same experience with her Audio-Technica LP-60 BT turntable and the Insignia speakers. This isn't a high end set-up but it's nice for her needs. The bluetooth connection from her laptop sounded louder than the turntable. Using the 3.5mm to RCA cable included with the turntable, the sound was good but a bit subdued. I switched to an "upgrade" cable (J&D) from Amazon and it definitely improved the volume and sound reproduction. I'm not going to spend the money for an Audioquest cable as that would cost more than the turntable and speakers combined. :)
My guess is that the included pre-amp on our turntables might not be up to the task for these speakers. I've thought about trying switching to phono output and using a phono pre-amp but this set up was an entry level set up so trying to keep the costs down.
Not sure what model of Sony turntable you have but if it' the Sony PSLX310BT model maybe try adjusting the gain output and / or make sure you are using the correct phono / line output also.
Hope this helps for you good luck!
A:Answerso from what i figured you can use a center channel with these as there is no out put for it but you can splie the signal going to them and maybe get it going that way itll take some tweaking tho due to sound latency
A:AnswerI was actually able to connect these not only to my IPad Pro, but an old Samsung Galaxy Tab that I was using for streaming music only.
No issues whatsoever!
A:AnswerI was unsuccessful paring these to my Vizio sound bar so I would say no as sound bars are typically manufactured the same way in regards to technology.
A:AnswerYou may need a PYLE - PylePro Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Pre-Amplifier - Black from Best Buy if your rca cables coming from the turntable have a ground wire that is currently unconnected. Plug the rca's from the turntable into the "input" and make sure to screw the ground wire to the "12 volt ground." You will need an additional set of rca cables to go from the preamp "output" to the speakers. The preamp is kind of like an interpreter. The turntable is speaking in phono and the speakers only hear in stereo.
