The directions say to let it sit 4 hours then plug it in and wait an additional 2 hours before using it while it cools.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd return. Both the fridge & freezer are controlled by same temp control so maybe defective. I waited a few hours before plugging in to let everything settle, due to bouncing around in truck. Mine works great & love it.
