• Not outdoor rated. Mine is under a counter with a couple inches clearance on 3 sides.

• For starters.... Not sure it is or is not outdoor rated. Thats a question for manufacture. I am sure it can. The outdoor weathering may have an effect on the longevity of it.... but you may want to talk to manufacture first to make sure it won't void warranty. Yes it can be under counter... though you will have further wear and tear on the system due to the need to reject heat from the condenser on back side. If enough air flow.... you should be fine.
