A:Answer I don't think Insignia markets anything as being "garage ready" like other brands do, but at the same time the user manual doesn't say you can't. I'd imagine it would use more energy and perhaps shorten the life span of the compressor. Short of moving just make sure the unit isn't in direct sunlight, next to anything that generates heat (water heater etc.), and has enough clearance on all sides for the vents.
