It's a splitter, but in reverse - it takes multiple HDMI devices and allows them all to port in to this device, then it only has one HDMI port from it to your end source - generally a television. This way, you can have three separate devices that only utilize/consume one HDMI port on the back of your end device/television. So theoretically, if you have four ports on the rear of your television, and utilized four of these devices that can handle the input from three other devices, you could have 12 devices ported into your television through four HDMI ports. Hope this makes sense - I'm only on my first cup of coffee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device is for “adding” more hdmi ports to your tv or monitor. Example: if your tv has 1 hdmi port, but you have 3 devices you want to plug in, then you can plug the 3 devices into this switch and then plug the switch into the tv. This switcher will work with devices that display in 4K resolution or lower.
