I have used a Nintendo Switch with this device and it works. I do not own an Amazon Firestick, but I have seen posts of other people saying that it does not work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device will handle most HD signals up to 1080p and UHD signals up to and including 4K/HDR. If you have a device with an HD signal (1080p or less), it'll works just fine. I have had problems with 480p signals having to switch 'out' of the input I have selected and back to it to get it to display. Your Switch and Fire stick will be just fine.

It will take one input and make it three, giving you two additional considering you are using an input that is being used on the switch. It's all 4k capable and it's comparable to a power strip for a wall outlet. You get to plug more HDMI devices in and you just select the input you want to use and it will display on the screen. It also allows all variations of Dolby sound through. Anything that would pass through an HDMI cable, it will be compatible,

A Nintendo Switch will certainly work. However, the switcher could add a bit of input lag, depending of your tastes it could be too much or nothing at all.
