Is the picture good when viewed from the side null

No....it is not good at all. Looks great straight on but fades out considerably when viewed from the side. But you have to expect that at the price point of this model.

It's OK up to about 45 degrees to the side.

No....it is not good at all. Looks great straight on but fades out considerably when viewed from the side. But you have to expect that at the price point of this model.
