The Insigna does NOT have manual buttons - It is 100% controlled by remote....

The TV only has a power button built-in. For other functions (e.g.: Menu, Volume up and down, Changing channels) please keep your remote at hand.

It does have the buttons you mention on the right-hand side of the set. However, I think you would need to use the remote to change channels.
