“From not tech savvy: I do subscribe to cable tv, receiver in place. I hooked up the coax cable & set on tv. The display is not full screen and channels are normal, not HD. To get a full screen, what else is needed (description please) & how to connect?”

You can try to change the Aspect Ratio on the TV. Get into the Menu, then Picture, then Advanced Settings and then Aspect Ratio. If it doesn't work, check that the Auto Aspect ratio option (in the Channels menu) is turned off. If still no, try to change the Aspect Ratio with the remote of your receiver.
