“if i use external speakers, will it shut down the internal ones? My dad is hard of hearing and cant stand all the extra remotes smart tv's & suround sound require. He said he wants a dumb TV”

• This is not a Smart TV. To manually turn on the speakers, press the Menu button on the remote, select Audio and set TV Speakers to On.
