There is a drip tray under the unit above the compressor. my fridge smelled absolutely awful. this was the culprit its directly about the compressor, mine had maggots that had just hatched. cleaned the tray and the hose out with bleach it doesnt smell nearly as bad my unit is just over 1 year old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the Insignia NS-RBM 18. Odor today 11AUG25. Checked and it was coming from the white drip tray above the compressor. Removed to screws and that was the problem. Cleaned with bleach and toothbrush. My Kitchen is not air conditioned, and we have been having very high humidity. I think that the tray was receiving too much water from the fridge and the heat of the compressor could not keep up.
