It DEPENDS on where you live, and how hot/cold your garage might get! The manual actually contradicts itself. It says "This refrigerator is not designed for use in a garage or any other outside installation," and on the very next page it says "This refrigerator can be placed in a garage, as long as the ambient temperature in the garage is not below 50 degrees F or above 85 degrees F. (By the way, we were told by a customer rep ahead of purchase that the range was 50 to 109 degrees. That is NOT what the manual states.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In my short time experience, it is a lot more sensitive to heat than the previous (discount retailer brand) model we had in the same location. Temperature of contents, and "feel to the touch" heat of unit walls, are definitely affected by heat of day (right now 90+ outdoors, 85 inside garage with fan and open door). To be fair, users manual lists 85 degrees as maximum temperature for non temperature controlled room use. Because I live in Florida, can offer no input on the other side (below 50 degrees) of the outside use equation.
