It DEPENDS on where you live, and how hot/cold your garage might get! The manual actually contradicts itself. It says "This refrigerator is not designed for use in a garage or any other outside installation," and on the very next page it says "This refrigerator can be placed in a garage, as long as the ambient temperature in the garage is not below 50 degrees F or above 85 degrees F. (By the way, we were told by a customer rep ahead of purchase that the range was 50 to 109 degrees. That is NOT what the manual states.)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Mick. Thank you for reaching us and writing this inquiry. It is important to mention that all of our appliances are manufactured and designed to be used indoors to ensure their best performance. Nevertheless, as long as the garage is at the same range of temperature and not exposed to the climate, you could place this unit there and it should work perfectly. Alexander G. - Insignia Support
