There seems to be a lot of contradictory advice on this. The manual states to wait FOUR hours before plugging in. But, we're going to wait longer--no harm in that!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Kathy. Thank you for letting us know about your inquiry. This Refrigerator needs to rest for at least 5-7 hours before being plugged in so all the gases can stabilize. As well, the unit is NOT Frost Free. The delivery people can install it for you for an additional cost (please refer to Geek Squad). The warranty lasts for one year from the moment that you purchase it. Alexander G. - Insignia Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As someone else has reported, the manual states to wait 4 hours- but the employee who assisted me to my car with the product specifically emphazised to me that I needed to wait 24 hours. Currently it has been 4 hours and while I'm tempted, I'll trust their experience and be safe lol.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t understand why Insignia support would answer this question differently from what the manual says. The manual clearly says 4 hours.
