A:AnswerI have only had this remote for a few weeks, but I have to turn on the t.v. then press the receiver power button to turn on the receiver. So unless direct TV is different or I didn't read the instructions well enough, the answer is no. I have a Verizon Fios recevier. Pressing 2 different power buttons on the remote is easy and fast. So I don't think this should be a big concern.
A:AnswerHello, although this is a universal remote control, your Roku television has many settings which this remote might not be able to access. Therefore, we recommend to keep the television's original controller to ensure full compatibility with it. Daniel T. - Insignia Support
A:AnswerThis item *can* control DVRs and a Microsoft Xbox. PS3 uses bluetooth technology instead of regular infrared.
The quick setup guide with all the codes can be viewed at: https://www.manualowl.com/m/Insignia/NS-RMT415/Manual/463957
A:AnswerYes, this remote has codes listed for both DirecTV set top boxes and Sony audio equipment. The remote will come with a list of codes and they are available on the Insignia product page as well.
A:AnswerThis remote will likely program over to the soundbar but controlling the soundbar volume will likely be determined by the how the soundbar functions.
