To correctly answer your question, yes it's possible to make these motion activated, however you will need to "get your hands dirty", and also void your warranty (unless you 'go the extra mile', or find a motion sensor with a USB output). To get this to work, you would connect a motion sensor to a relay, and have the relay fire the lights, cutting the plug off in order to connect it to the relay. Going the extra mile would be integrating a USB port onto the output of the relay, at which point you should certainly be looking at putting it onto a circuit board. An alternative method to solve your problem which would be much easier if you can get it to work on your safe door... Utilise the door as a mechanical breaker switch for the power source (DC ONLY! DO NOT USE AC POWER!), which when closed leaves the circuit open (and the power disconnected), and when opened closes the circuit allowing the power to flow. I hope this answers your question and helps you to find a solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend you get something other than these flashlights to solve your problem. I say this because they're well constructed and not easily taken apart to reveal the electronics, which would be necessary to do what you require... Unless.... You could in theory wire a motion sensor of your chosing, to a pair of relays which fire a pair of linear actuators to push the power buttons on the torches... This would solve the problem of turning them on, however it's rather a little more complex to turn them off utilising this method, and it's already far more complex than needed and certainly prone to issues calibrating and over time. I would never recommend the above method, I merely presented it as a possible method not requiring breaking down the torches. If you did break them down to electronics, it would be possible. However I recommend for your use case, that you simply purchase some cheap motion activated lights, and keep your Energisers intact for regular torch use. I hope this both answers your question and helps you reach a solution. Happy to provide more assistance if required.
