Depends on the humidity in your area. The higher the humidity, the more frequently it will need to be drained. For me, once a month or so..

Reading the user guide it states that the water should be drained continually if used in Dry Mode, See below. It should be drained periodically if using as AC in air with Dew Point in the 60 - 65 range, that comes from personal experience, it is not documented anywhere that I could find. If you run your air conditioner continually in DRY mode because of high humidity or other reasons, the water collection tank should drain continuously.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When this unit is on AC I said every 4-5 hours I need to empty my gallon bucket! Sometimes it needs to be emptyed every 3-4 hours! Will stick to what I stated “Worst Buy Ever”
