“I've tried plugging in the Xbox to both HDMI 1and HDMI 2 and both either say "no tv signal" or just a blank screen. I'm not trying to watch TV through the Xbox just want to play Xbox on my fire TV. Any other ideas how to set this up?”

Hi. I tried connecting my laptop and Nintendo Switch to the TV through the HDMI and it works fine just fine. You might want to try wiggling the cord on your Xbox because when I tried connecting the laptop, the sound didn't work at first and worked after I wiggle the cord.
