“Can I use my Echo to power on and switch inputs on the TV? I'm familiar with controlling Fire with my Echo because I've had a Fire stick for a couple years, but now I'm looking for a TV that I can do power and inputs with my Echo as well.”

To link your Alexa enabled device (Echo) to the Fire TV Edition television use the Alexa app. If you are using the smartphone app, go Home > Menu > Settings > Video and TV > Fire TV and follow the on-screen instructions.
