• Typically, data transfer for HDMI is not really possible between devices. Not because the cable couldn't transfer the data but the HDMI ports on both devices would be HDMI-Out. HDMI ports are not typically bi-directional. So HDMI signals flow out of the device and into the display. A better option for data transfer would be something like a USB cable.
