This is basically like the Instant Pot with a few exceptions. The Insignia has a teflon/non stick inner cooking pot whereas the Instant Pot has a heavy duty stainless steel cooking pot. The stainless steel is also easy to clean and will ultimately last much longer. The Insignia does not count minutes after the cooking has finished like the Instant Pot does so you can keep track of how long it's been since the cooking stopped and you can release the steam. And this Insignia is like the Lux Instant Pot in that it does not have a yogurt function which some people do not care about anyway but we use it regularly for making the best organic yogurt hands down! But for $24.99, this is a great deal. We will get one for our travel trailer! Sometimes the non stick pot can be great for rice or anything that tends to burn on the bottom of the pan when cooking like anything with milk. But you have to be sure to not use a metal utensil on it. Also, for $19.99, you can buy an Insignia stainless pot to go inside this one so you can have both types of pots. Hope this helps.
