“The outside lid of the freezer feels cool to the touch, like it’s not sufficiently insulated and cool air is escaping. I put a folded moving blanket to only cover the lid (does not cover sides etc) and can really feel how much cold is trapped is that ok?”

I have had no cold feeling on the outsides of our freezer. It feels room temp on the outer sides all the way around
