Personally, the cable feels and looks very thick, with some sort of rubber coating on it, as most ethernet cables get really brittle, which actually warranted me purchasing this.

The Insignia™ 50 foot Cat-6 Ethernet Cable from Best Buy is a solid cable, which is generally more rigid and durable, making it ideal for fixed installations where the cable won't be moved around much. Solid cables also tend to provide better electrical performance and can carry more current compared to stranded cables. The Insignia cable is priced higher at $37.99, while similar Cat-6 cables are available for $10 to $12. Despite the higher cost, there are several reasons why you might consider buying the Insignia cable. Firstly, it is praised for its reliable performance and durable build. Secondly, it features gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, which can enhance signal strength and reduce corrosion. Lastly, it has a high user rating (4.8 out of 5 stars) with many positive reviews highlighting its length, quality, and speed. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, you might consider other brands that offer similar specifications at a lower price. Keith | Insignia Support
