I can you the TV remote with my a amp in the HDMI bit only for the TV not and outside apps like Fire stick

Please try again later.an interesting situation. i faced a similar issue. there exists a device that you can use with the hdmi port on your tv. plug hdmi out from tv into this device, and it will provide hdmi output AND split off the associated audio as a 3.5 aux output jack. you can then convert to rca or whatever stereo format you wish for the amp. that SHOULD in theory allow you to use the tv remote to control the volume thru the hdmi output. it is a seperate device that is set and forget. look up “hdmi audio extractor”
