It depends on the quality of the sound bar. Talk to a tech selling them; quality varies. The sound of the TV itself is OK, but not "crisp," it has a fair amount of base. I would not choose a low-end sound bar, as you will be disappointed. If you have a large 85" TV you want a good quality sound bar to match. I do not have a sound bar, and the sound is OK. I would like to get a good sound bar in future to complete the theater effect. Hope this helps a bit.
