For electronics the shelf life is much more accurate when looking at the date it was manufactured. electronics parts like memory sticks and processors began declining as soon as they leave the assembly line, or 3d printer they were created with.

The life expectancy of a product especially TV LED is in relationship of the usage and environmental condition of place product. TV last for a good amount of time if the time temperature is within the operating range. Dust and Heat is the killer of electronic devices. Dust collected in the Board will heat up the element faster and cause a failure. Material made in this product is low so the tendency of the fail will be higher than average compare to Higher price TV's. The shelf life for the Insignia 39 inch TV will be for along time if not being plug in and stored in control environment.

Shelf life? Do you mean usable life? I have bought numerous Insignia TVs over the years. Probably have of them. I have never had one go out. Some are probably 8 or 9 years old. No signs of any problems. Very happy with the brand.

I think you may have misstated your question since most TVs do not have a shelf life. Did you mean the batteries? If so, the pack I purchased late last year has an expiration date of June 2022.

It depends on how it was stored and the shape it was in when you stored it. Bugs love electronics. Then there is dust and humidity. Your best bet when plugging in anything that has been stored a while is to open it up and blow it out first. And plug it in on a non-flammable surface. Just saying...
